Piercarlo Quecchia studied Architecture in Milan and Moscow while working as a photographer. After graduating he has been working for two years as an architect at Herzog & de Meuron, Basel while developing his personal research and work as a photographer. In 2018 he published his first project The Sound Mirror Portraits. Since joining DSL Studio in 2019, he has become one of the five partners leading the firm.

Through his work, Piercarlo Quecchia reinterprets elements from different cultures through his own aesthetic perspective. His work has been exhibited at Triennale di Milano (2025), MAXXI - Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, Roma (2022), CAI-Contemporary Art Institute | CAI03 Sapporo (2022), KATA Gallery, Tokyo (2022), ADI Design Museum, Milan (2022), Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato (2021)

His photographs are regularly featured in some of the most important national and international magazines and newspapers, including Muse Magazine, Vogue, C41, Domus, Abitare, Mousse Magazine, Wallpaper, Flash Art, Frieze, Elle Decor e Casabella
